Fear not for Sam Spade, he’ll have a special place in our hearts, but James Bond will always have a place in some girl’s pants…

Turns out I share a birthday with more people than I thought: Dana, Francis and Paddington Bear among them. Well I knew about Dana and Francis, but finding out that Paddington is exactly 30 years older than me was entertaining.
In not-so-recent news: I’m pretty bad at this whole blog thing.
New plan. Start writing at the beginning of the year so you’re not always swamped with work and finals (and then totally forget about writing once summer starts).
For the last few weeks I’ve been conspicuously absent from the Internet.
This had been coming for a long time. First I fell off Twitter. Then I stopped responding to most IMs. Writing for this site has all but ceased. I can’t explain the phenomenon. I have been lost to all but a few of my good friends for this whole summer. Somewhere, in the depths of my isolation and despair, I found something.
The streetlights
look like tiny globes of fire
floating in the mist
that fills this broken street
No echoes reach my ears
the damp air
consumes the sound
as I make my way back home
————————-
look up
hemisphere of black fabric
back lit
full of tiny holes
rise up
ascend toward the lights
take flight
float off to your own star
deep breath
taste the universe expanding
exhale
let your troubles go
This whole getting a job thing always ends up taking much longer than I expect it to. Currently I have a project with a couple of my RIT professors, but it was been slow to start. I hope that once it gets going I can actually accomplish some things and, most importantly, get paid!
